Family Travel Guide
Travelling as a family is incredibly rewarding. Not only are you building memories together but you are learning and having fun together too!
Here are a few tips we’ve learned from our travels:
1.
Include everyone’s input in the planning. Even the littlest ones will have some ideas of what everyone is excited about, so ask them what they imagine will happen and what they are excited to see.
Pack light! Plan to do laundry so that you can bring fewer clothes. Having less to carry makes logistics much easier.
2.
Take breaks. Travel can make for long days and everyone gets cranky once in a while. A short break or a little treat can get everyone back in the vacation mindset.
3.
Avoid crowds. It’s fun to be a tourist until you’re surrounded by tourists everywhere you want to go!
Visit hot tourist attractions as early in the day as you can, or in the evening.
During the middle of the day, get off the beaten path, take a class, or build in some down time to decompress.
4.
Hire a photographer. Take advantage of having your family all together in a beautiful place and hire a photographer from a site like flytographer.com for a photo session
